THE FUTURE

Our Asian Directors, Ian and Judy Aitchison, who reside in Thailand are constantly evaluating and improving current projects. At the same time their travels in the region expose them to many areas of great need and as they assess these, new projects will be commenced.

Our current projects are constantly expanding and we are looking to the future, particularly with our education work.

We will be expanding our teacher training programs and offering them beyond the schools we support, to the teaching staff of other schools in the region. Leadership development is also high on the agenda, as is addressing the issues of health education and malnutrition.

Effective Aid International also networks closely with other NGO’s in the region to assist them in any way possible to fulfill their purpose and vision. We see this as a way of maximizing impact to bring about more effective change in areas of need.

To change the future and destiny of impoverished children, education is recognized as the way to open doors of opportunity in their lives. The successful development of today’s children provides a nation with tomorrow’s leaders.

Ian Aitchison writes, “I have a vision constantly stirring in my heart of taking our successful model of education across the border into eastern Burma. Many of the children there have no opportunity to attend school, yet they are like children anywhere else – eager to learn, wanting an opportunity to make their lives different. The few schools that are established struggle with minimal resources. Many of the teachers are unpaid and have little more than primary education themselves as well as no formal training. Effective Aid is positioned to help these children and I will not stop until this vision comes to pass.”
