Australian Dental Team Visits School

Early morning in a refugee camp is a busy time, as life is always challenging to the thousands of families who have been displaced from their homes in Eastern Burma.
However on a recent Monday morning there was added activity as students of all ages lined up outside Effective Aid International's Dental Clinic to receive relief from dental pain.
Dr Norli, from Cairns in Australia along with Lisa, Kylie and Abbey who assisted her, worked long and hard for the whole week, seeing as many children (plus a few adults) as they could fit into their schedule.
While those in the waiting room were gievn toothbrushes and trained in dental hygiene, Dr Norli brought freedom from pain to those in the dental chair.
At the end of the week almost 80 people had received the treatment necessary to bring their much desired relief.
Thanks to the great team of volunteers and Dr Colin Morrison and his wife Andrea, who continue to organise and fund-raise for this much needed project.
