Two young volunteers from Australia and two from Hong Kong have been visiting Effective Aid International's Maela Senior School assisting with teaching English, Science and Mathematics.
Sarah and Shadow from Hong Kong both recently graduated in Law from Hong Kong University and chose to volunteer for Effective Aid prior to entering the workforce, rather than take a well earned holiday.
Grant and Rachel, from the Gold Coast in Australia are also volunteering. Rachel on a "Gap Year" between university studies and Grant taking a holiday after completing his carpentry apprenticeship.
The long term benefits of such volunteers in the refugee schooling system is immense, as the refugees get very limited opportunity to communicate with native English speakers.
Thanks to Sarah, Shadow, Grant and Rachel for your committment to help the less fortunate!
